Job Title: IT Project Manager

Job Location: Lagos.

Job Description: 

To ensure efficient product design to achieve quick product release.  The role will directly engage with the product development functions in Marketing, IT and Networks locally and at group level. Interpret URS / PCN, and design the project, factoring all integration points.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree : BSc  Computer Science or related discipline
  • Project management certification would be an advantage
  • 6 Sigma knowledge and exposure
  • ToGAF experience  

Experience

  • 5 years of operations in the TELCO space with Product development experience
  • 3 years Process improvement techniques and experience
  • 5 years of product development

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operational Support – 

  • System monitoring
  • Event management
  • Incident management
  • Request fulfillment
  • Problem management
  • Access management
  • Ensure system availability

2. Project Design –

  • Interpret URS / PCN into a technical language
  • Review existing URS/PCN process and optimize for efficient and timely product delivery
  • Constitute project team including steering committees
  • Manage team of developers in realizing solution delivery
  • Interwork with project team and support every project delivery
  • Understand Service Management
  • Role is for an experienced technical and business savvy individual who will interact with product managers and product development teams across IT and Network
  • Responsible for product end to end desig
  • Should be able to understand and interpret complex product requirements
  • Interprets product request into technical document detailing all the touch points
  • Responsible for gathering requirement to fulfill end to end product delivery
  • Understands business and technical language
  • Monitors product development to delivery
  • Understand all product technical touch points
  • Understands Charging system technology and features
  • Experienced on SMS, USSD, VAS Platforms
  • Understands basic network protocol
  • Experienced on the telecom core network

3. Stakeholder Management – 

  • Manage stakeholders
  • Conduct status update meetings and report project development progress
  • Employ effective change, risk and communication management to drive the progress toward the agreed goal
  • Flag project risk
  • Interwork with project team and support every project delivery.
  • Good Communication skills

Other Requirements:

  • Result driven and customer-centric
  • Can do ‘attitude’
  • Self-starter and requires minimal supervision
