Optimal HR Group on behalf of its client, a global leader in glass containers supply, is looking to recruit a high caliber Sales Director-Glass Division, based in Nigeria, to manage the global accounts including contracts negotiation and finalization.

Educational Qualification: BSc in Engineering. Master in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus

Years of Experience: 15-20 years of professional experience in the same industry (glass containers) preferably in a multinational environment. Experienced in Managing global accounts. Work experience in Africa Region

Job Specification(s):

The Sales Director strategically leads Glass Sales operations to deliver long-term organic growth, value-led competitiveness and sustainable profitability. Implements to the fullest Company strategy and makes sure corrective measures are taken in the event of deviations. Ensures the achievement of the agreed growth objectives in terms of profitability, market share and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, formulate and implement Sales strategies, plans and policies, and work closely with Sales team, in Nigeria & Dubai, to ensure that robust Glass Division development strategies are in place
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators, in order to monitor plans’ implementation effectiveness and ensure that agreed organizational performance KPI’s are met within budgets and timescales
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to secure the effective implementation of all Group’s tools, systems and processes
  • Develop broad knowledge of the region’s political, technical, economic and cultural particularities
  • Take the lead role in developing business relationships to further deliver Operation’s strategic aims
  • Ensure effective sharing of best practices across countries to leverage competitive advantage and efficiencies
  • Develop the sales budget / forecast and manage the budget to meet Glass Division strategic business plans
  • Bring new product and market opportunities forward, and implement for profit enhancement
  • Ensure implementation of the annual Marketing plan and execution of strategic Marketing plans, policies and practices in order to achieve corporate objectives
  • Ensure areas of responsibility are delivered in a way that is consistent with the financial and cost improvement plans
